Our 100 days of less sugar Part 1

This week we started the challenge after reading The Baking Nutritionist post. It is mad but very exciting and can be quite doable.

In Australia and the US we eat too much sugar. Too much sugar leads to obesity and some cancers.

Day 1.

Today instead of my WW chocolate bar I had potato and chicken croquettes. They were homemade and really nice.

Day 2

Today I had my cheese sandwich for brunch. And then later I had a horrible tasting Pad Thai for dinner which had too much sauce in there

Day 3

Today I had a beef pie for lunch and lots of fruits. I did however have two small WW chocolate biscuits.

Day 4

Today I had a large slurpee and apple juice and all the rest was just fruits and vegetables. For tea I had fish and chips which was homemade. No cakes or other sweets.

Day 5

Today I was at home so just fruits and salad and sandwich.

Day 6

Today I got a free doughnut at Footscray Doughnuts and Coffee and then I had my Oreo biscuits and a homemade lemon cake. But the rest of the food was healthy. I even had a healthy vegetarian jaffle.

Day 7

I had dumplings for lunch and pasta and vegetables for dinner. I did have a little bit of muffin for dessert. And today I had an orange juice.

Day 8

I had a tofu banh mi and rice paper roll without any sauce. And then I had a chocolate chip cookie fro Doubletree Hilton as it was that kind of day. It was cold and rainy. I also had potato wedges.

I tried to quit sweets but it’s often impossible to do so due to the many functions that we have and the rainy weather.

Day 9

Today I had a pint of guinness as it was Stout Shout day and I had roasted chickpeas as a snack. Went to the Couch for lunch and they had the homemade bread and butter pudding which was not very sweet at all.

Day 10.

For some reason I have a craving for chocolate cake but we don’t have any at home. Instead I had sardines and my WW chocolate biscuits

I love being healthy and love helping those that want to do so.

  1. Delighted to see that I’ve inspired you to reduce your sugar! I’m almost at day 50 now and really enjoying the challenge. I’ve certainly enjoyed my treats but in a more mindful way. Looking forward to see how you get on.
