Char Siu is the Cantonese version of sweet BBQ roast pork. Except in our case we didn’t put a lot of sugar in it. In fact ours is minimalist. We also used the airfryer to roast the pork which saved us a lot of time and cleaning up. And because it was outside there was no BBQ pork smell wafting around.
Before the airfryer we used a microwave oven in which we had to clean it after use and also soak the trays meaning a house full of roast pork smell.
