Going to the gym can be really daunting for some people so here are some tips to help you get the most out of your visits.

Go with your fellow friends
Friends do great working out together. Maybe you can challenge each other with some timed exercises.

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes

Everyone does and its ok for first timers to make mistakes especially in their first few weeks. In my first few weeks at the gym I turned up in the wrong clothes and had bad posture which was eventually corrected by the staff.

Make friends with the staff
They are there to help you so don’t be shy of talking to them. Join the online group if they have. Don’t be afraid to tell them your goals.

Try a new class

Every week aim to try a new class at the gym. This is where you can really develop some skills. You might never know what you might learn. And you might discover that you have some new hobbies. That class might be your new favourite. One day you might end up teaching that class.

Join any clubs that they might have

This is another great way to make friends and support each other along the way.
